What's happening:
Spring has sprung in Rheenendal - a great time for hiking as the forest and fynbos come into bloom. October and November see the days getting longer and warmer with the average daytime maximum temperature around 22 degrees and minimum around 16 degrees.
We are running a few specials for Oct/Nov:
Special 1: Book for two nights and get the third night free in any of our Tented Lodges or Forest Cottages.
Special 2: Family Tented Lodge Special: Book one Family Tented Lodge and get the second Family Tented Lodge for free.
Special 3: Any stay 4 nights and longer receives a 10% discount.

9-10 October : Fynbos Festival at the George Botanical Gardens
21 November : Outdoor Expo and Concert in the Park in Wilderness
October and November are also great months to visit Oudtshoorn before the summer temperatures get too high. The Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch come highly recommended !
ON THE FARM:
● The Forest and gardens are blossoming and the bees are busy at work. Photography enthusiasts will enjoy the Wild Pomegranites,Clivias and Watsonias all coming into flower.
● Our Veggie Patch has a nice selection of salad greens at the moment.
● We have two new little additions to our Goat Herd - twins!
● We've added an outdoor shower to our Family Tented Lodges site
● We went strawberry picking at Red Berry Farm - highly recommended ! Their strawberry season started in May 09 and will run till January 2010. See www.redberryfarm.co.za
● Kids – don’t forget to bring your bikes – our farm roads are great for bike riding and your Gumboots for puddle jumping! Farm mud is the best mud!
● A reminder for those rainy days – we have put DVD machines in all our Cottages and have a small library of DVD’s at reception with a more current selection available at Portland Minimarket just down the road.
