August and September are lovely Winter months here in Rheenendal with lovely crisp days perfect for hiking and cycling.The average maximum temp is around 20° celsius and min temp around 9° celsius.
We are running a few specials for August and September:
Special 1: Book for two nights and get the third night free in any of our Tented Lodges.
Special 2: Family Tented Lodge Special: Book one Family Tented Lodge and get the second Family Tented Lodge for free.

ON THE FARM:
● We now have Yoga classes here on the farm on Thursday mornings from 9.00 to 10.20 am
● This is a great time of the year for canoeing. Contact Benny at 083 225 1083 and arrange canoe hire and even a picnic hamper for a different kind of day out.
● Buffalo Bay Beach is such a lovely beach and only 20 km away so don’t forget your bat and ball and body boards. Or take some wood down and braai at the point !
● Our veggie patch has spinach, cherry tomatoes, patty pans and herbs for you to pick and enjoy.
● We have had snow twice in the last month right across the Outeniqua Mountains.
● We have had three new new arrivals this last month - two little bullocks and a little goat kid!
● Kids – don’t forget to bring your bikes – our farm roads are great for bike riding and your Gumboots for puddle jumping! Farm mud is the best mud!
● A reminder for those rainy days – we have put DVD machines in all our Cottages and have a small library of DVD’s at reception with a more current selection available at Portland Minimarket just down the road.
● Good news - we have harvested honey and have for sale.
